By and large, it was comfortable base for sightseeing in Grindleford Bridge, had much fun and met welcoming staff who give fantastic customer service. Standard double room with a large bathroom, enormous bath, for instance was ready when we checked-in. The location for Grindleford Bridge was marvellous, so close to the restaurant in the evening, the nearby train station, and the resturant.

The location captures the essence of the countryside, surrounded by picturesque views perfect for hiking. The character of the building adds a unique charm that's hard to find in modern hotels.
The mattress in the standard double room felt firm. Breakfast service lagged significantly. It lacks a self-service setup for cereals and juices-only a full service. Plus, no dedicated facility for drying wet gear after a day on the trails reminded me of a missed opportunity for walkers.

Arrived to friendly staff and a clean room with a lovely modern glass lighting feature above the shower. The location offered fine views and easy access to beautiful hikes like Padley Gorge. Dinner was delicious, though the portions were smaller than expected. Breakfast was a highlight with multiple options, all cooked perfectly. The grounds provided a pleasant area to unwind after our adventures.

What a charming place! I adored the fine views and the lovely little touches in our room. Such a treat to unwind with a beautiful garden right outside.
But, goodness gracious, the WiFi was slower than a tortoise on a leisurely stroll! I couldn't even post my holiday selfies-tragic!

The Maynard dazzled with really good breakfasts and delectable dinner options! The kids loved the family room vibe, and I must say those poached eggs were seriously the best! A fab experience!
We did have a bit of a nuisance with noisy wedding guests keeping us up, definitely not ideal! Plus, the initial starter was a letdown with thick beef slices just sitting there without any flair.

Perfect spot for hikers!
What a find! The location's awesome for hikes like Padley Gorge, and the staff are super friendly. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. The room we had was snazzy and comfy, just right for two nights. Only thing is the bar area felt kinda sterile, more like a bright cafe than a cozy pub vibe.
